The conference management organisation UniTT that handles hotel
reservations for the Heidelberg conference on "The Milky Way and the Local
Group - Now and in the Gaia Era" has informed us that the inexpensive rooms
that were pre-reserved at special rates for the conference are booked out.
There are still rooms available in one of the pricier hotels though.


Ms. Voehl of UniTT has inquired with a number of hotels that still offer
rooms at lower rates and has put a list of these on the web.  You can find
links to these accommodations on the registration page just below the
registration form.  If you would like to book rooms in one of these hotels,
you are kindly requested to contact the corresponding hotel yourself.  At
the bottom of the hotel page, you can find additional useful links for
hotel bookings.


I would also like to point out that if you arrive at Frankfurt/Main airport
(airport code FRA), the most convenient way of getting to your hotel is to
take the door-to-door shuttle "TLS" that you can book on-line.  For more
